Hey guys! First off I just want to apologise for not being online to post in such a long time. This is because of internet problems at the hotel I was working at. Oh that and I don't actually work there anymore so I came home and have been trying to see all my family and friends this past week. And I have a lot going on with essay deadlines, a dad in hospital, looking after two of my three younger siblings until he comes out (with help from the rest of my family) and nursing a horrible cold...But enough of complaining and explaining, the point is I am back and I am going to get through all this no matter what because many people have been through a lot worse than what I have.
So here I am currently sat in my living room in my pyjamas and thinking (i can just hear the jokes of my friends ringing in my ears "dangerous thing for you isn't it?" ha di ha ha) that no matter what happens to me in life, there will always be someone out there who has it worse than I do and that I should stop and take a minute whenever I'm down to think about that and just be thankfull for everything I have going for me. I have a fabulous family, great friends, a loving boyfriend, a good education, a roof over my head and food in my belly. I couldn't ask for anything better. So the fact that everything has gone a bit tits up just lately is just another one of those things that life has thrown at me that I can and will overcome with the brilliant support system I have and I hope that things will get better. In reading this I hope that people can see what I see. That no matter what, no matter how bad things get, they can and will always get better. It might not get better straight away and it may require a lot of hard work but you've got to hold on and be strong if not for yourself then those who love and cherish you. So I guess the message of today from me is be thankfull for everything you do have and if god forbid things do go a bit awry then believe that you can get through it and never be afraid to ask for the help you need to do that. And, although I might not know you and may never ever meet you face to face, I love you and would be more than willing to help you should you need me :)

Happy birthday dad!
As the title of this post suggests it is my dad's birthday and I hope he has had a good one considering what he has been through this past week poor guy. Its such a shame that I could not be home today to celebrate with him though but he seemed to be happy by the fact that I had managed to call him instead.
For me though, the day has gone by fairly quietly except for one big burst of energy I suddenly had for no reason that made me blast out "The time warp" from my laptop speakers and dance hilariously badly...such is my life haha! Thank god the boss didn't see me though as he walked past my window through the garden or I would have probably been riduculed for the rest of the time I have to be here! But meh...at the end of it I did feel much better especially after laughing at myself for how ridiculous I would have looked had he looked up at my window. The weather has been really warm today too so I've a seen a few families wandering around during school hours (I wonder if it is possibly half term for them here which would explain the amount of kids wandering around) Now that it is getting cooler and the day is drawing to a close, it's just time to quietly chill, maybe watch a movie and sleep before having to return to work tomorrow at silly o'clock in the morning to set up a breakfast buffet for our dear guests. So for now I will say goodnight bloggers and I will see you tomorrow :)

hey :)
Well here goes...
Hi my name is Kayleigh but you can call me kayls. I am admittedly a total noob when it comes to blogging but a friend suggested I give it a try, so here I am doing exactly that at half past 2 in the morning simply because I can't sleep and have nothing better to do at this time of night. So here is where I will be documenting my life, talking about whatever is on my mind at the time and possibly writing some short stories when I'm feeling creative. If anyone out there in this wide blogging world ever actually decides to read any short stories I may post I would appreciate feedback of any kind (just so you know).
Ok now that introductions are out of the way, my life so far is as follows: I am from England, I have 2 younger sisters, a younger brother, a cat and a boxer dog. When I am in my home town I live with my dad, see my mum every week and spend a couple of nights at my boyfriends' house where he lives with his housemates. However, I am currently living and working in a hotel in France thanks to my university course (I am studying French). So yes that is my life story so far. I know it doesn't make for much interesting reading but then again not many interesting things had happened until I made the move to France. While here, I have met and worked with some really nice people, eaten some delicious French food and seen so many beautiful things like the view of the mountains I get to see when walking to the local supermarket or, just witnessing the hustle and bustle of everyday life from a bench in the local park...Unfortunately though I have also seen just how nasty people can be to each other when they are supposed to work together...but for now I won't dwell on that because I would much rather keep the nicer things in mind that make it all worthwhile, though I do miss everybody so much!
Now I have to say that today has been a bit of a lazy, stay in your PJs all day unless you have to go out kind of day that has been mostly spent watching films or catching up on skype with my two best friends which was awesome! In all fairness though I reckon I needed a day like this after the crappy hours I've done at work this past month and the skype chat definately did me good so thanks for that you two if you read this! Anyway am getting a little tired now so I will say goodnight to you all and I shall be back soon :)
